      Appearance

      Quick launch

Atelier, one gesture away. Your phone keeps its own assistant button; these put Atelier right beside it.

      Android
      1. Talk button on your home screen. Touch and hold the Atelier icon, then drag Talk to Atelier onto your home screen. One tap opens Atelier listening.
      2. Back tap (Pixel 4a 5G and newer). Settings → System → Gestures → Quick tap → Use Quick tap → Open app → tap ⚙ → Atelier. If the list offers Talk to Atelier, choose it so a double-tap starts listening.
      3. Side button (Samsung). Settings → Advanced features → Side button → Double press → Apps → Atelier. If a ⚙ appears, choose Talk to Atelier.
      4. By voice. “Hey Google, open Atelier” (phone unlocked).
      5. Share sheet. Share a link, text, photo or video and choose Atelier.

Holding the power button stays with your phone’s assistant — Android gives that only to native apps.

After you speak (Talk to Atelier)

Send goes about 1.5 seconds after you stop — tap Cancel or the prompt to hold it. Words added to an existing draft always wait for you.

Start listening when I open Atelier

Starts the mic when Atelier opens fresh from its icon, back tap, side button or “Hey Google”. It never sends without you. Signing out turns it off.

When Chrome asks, choose “Allow while visiting the site” so it won’t ask again.

      iPhone

iPhone keeps the side button for Siri, and a Shortcut can’t open the Home Screen app with your words. The Ask Atelier Shortcut listens, then opens Atelier in Safari with your words in the box.

      1. On the iPhone, in Safari, sign in to Atelier.
      2. Send without a tap

On adds a private key to your link that only this browser accepts. The first time, Atelier asks you to confirm. Signing out turns it off.

      3. Tap Copy Shortcut link.
      4. Build the Shortcut: Shortcuts → + → name it Ask Atelier → add Dictate Text (Stop Listening: After Pause) → URL Encode (Dictated Text) → Text: paste your link, then insert URL Encoded Text right after q= → Open URLs (Text).
      5. Put it on a button:
        • Action button (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and later, 16e, 17e): Settings → Action Button → swipe to Shortcut → Choose a Shortcut → Ask Atelier.
        • Back Tap: Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap → Ask Atelier.
        • Control Center: open it → + → Add a Control → Shortcut → Ask Atelier.
        • Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen → Customize → Lock Screen → remove a bottom control → + → Shortcut → Ask Atelier.
        • Siri: “Hey Siri, Ask Atelier.”
      • Each run opens a new Safari tab.
      • If the phone is locked, iPhone asks you to unlock before Safari opens.
      • Safari can clear a site’s data after 7 days of using Safari without visiting it. If Ask Atelier lands on sign-in, sign in again and copy a fresh link.
      • Safari history (synced through iCloud) can keep the links Ask Atelier opens, including your words. New link retires the old key.
      • Don’t share a Shortcut that contains your link: with Send without a tap on, it carries your private key. Each person copies their own link in Settings → Quick launch.
